Simple patches puts together some of David Kihazo’s best poetic creations. The poemss resonate with a voice that has gleaned enough of the world. It is redemptive in form as it delves in what has been and the beauty of the future. It is pleasant to read or listen to. It tickles, provokes and rewards with a long spell of suspense. The notions of romance and gallantry, resilience and nostalgia have become elusive parts of the lives of men and women nowadays and kihazo’s poetry is a committd teller. Kihazo’s experiences have developed and grown like a passion fruit stem that when given enough stretch space, it gets lengthier and bears more fruits.
