A nation in Labour is a collection of social conscience poetry that paints a picture of the giant politician,the restless citizen,the clueless youth,those struggling to heal from life’s scratches and the ones hunting for words to describe their experience of fiery flames of affection.
About the Author
Harriet Anena wrote her first poem in 2003.That poem won for her a bussaryto High School and a license to use and abuse words at poetic pleasure.Her poems have been published by Lawino Magazine,African Wrters Trust,African Sun press,Babishai Niwe Poetry Foundation and on herv blog, www.anenah.wordpress.com
Once in a while,Anena ventures into the Wordier world of fiction ,with her short stories featuring in the Caine Prize Anthology 2013,Sooo Many stories,Bookslive and Writivism among others.
